“I AM WHATEVER YOU THINK I AM AND I AM NOTHING YOU IMAGINE ME TO BE.”

“She listened to her heart above all other voices”

This quote came to me at a time when I felt I was not living up to another’s expectation or image of who they thought I was. I realized I was not the illusion they had created in their head of who they thought I was or ‘should’ be. Maybe I wasn’t living up to my own image of who I thought I ‘should’ be. Maybe it was all an illusion?

EVERY TIME WE CREATE A STORY OR IMAGE IN OUR HEAD OF WHO WE ARE OR WHO SOMEONE ELSE IS, IT IS JUST THAT, A STORY. IT’S NOT REAL.

I am not what you think I am. Going further with this I realized that even though I am NO THING you imagine me to be, I am also EXACTLY whatever you THINK I am. That is the ‘truth’ as you see it. How you view yourself, anyone or anything is your truth. You’ve made it so. Is that what you WANT to believe? Why?

Since I have become a teacher I have changed immensely over the past few years. I’ve opened up more publicly. I have conquered many fears of sharing who I am and what I love. Things such as Astrology, yoga, my writings and anything that made me feel vulnerable began to flow through me more freely. But, BELIEVE ME, not without a fight. At first, I was absolutely TERRIFIED of being judged and disliked by people I cared about. { I am a LEO, after all 😉 } Now, I accept that the more I show myself, the more others will show their dislike for me, and the less I will care what others think. That’s okay. Have your opinions. Have your judgments. I am not afraid of them. I am not afraid of you. I know who I AM. Does it hurt me?? Sometimes, sure. I’d be a liar to say different. But, I know otherwise.

Why I teach Yoga?

I teach Yoga because it has changed my life for the better.

You don’t get into this kind of profession for the money. I am not saying you cannot make money. With the opportunity we have here, that’s always up to you. I’m saying I do it because I’ve experienced how yoga works, how it has helped me and how yoga has changed my life. Not my body, although it will change your body too. But, I’m not a fitness teacher. I LOVE the healing benefits. The maintaining of my emotions, depression, anxiety, anger, ego. Not to mention, the relief I’ve found from physical ailments, to name a few: digestive issues, tense muscles, immune system, heart and lung strength, detoxification and overall body awareness to know what my body appreciates and what it cannot tolerate.
