SUPER MOON
This full moon happens to be a SUPER MOON which means that the intensity level is heightened. It’s a time when the moon is brighter and closer to the Earth than usual and we are said to be able to feel its magical magnetic pull even stronger.
The moon is in Aquarius {rebellion, freedom, eccentricity, vision & humanitarianism} and is opposite the sun in Leo {recognition, drama, creativity, self, heart-centered living & love}.
Aquarius, the Water Bearer, brings what is essential to the group and humanity. They prefer freedom to stand out from the crowd while still contributing in a useful way. Caring detachment is their style and they like to shake things up by expressing themselves in a way that may seem strange to society. They are considered the eccentrics of the zodiac, mainly because they are ahead of their time and unafraid to let their ‘inner freak’ out. They have vision and are progressive thinkers, seeing ahead they often know what is needed before others do because they have foresight, logic and a deep inner knowing. If challenged or suppressed they can become rebellious and erratic. This is the energy that the full moon in Aquarius brings.
The moon being opposite the sun in Leo is asking you to shine the light on how you can let your inner freak out and share what is unique about you with the world! Do YOU, Shine your light and be of service to humanity while doing it. Let your rebellion have a purpose to share your creative gifts, your talents and your love with the world.
How can you shake up your inner world and find the uniqueness that lies within you?
Can you let the old structure crumble and fall only to build again in your own way?
Are you able to let your weird side show and take the risk of being called a freak? Or do you crave the approval of others over your own inner approval?
It’s time to share your eccentric visions with the world. The Moon {emotions & sensitivity} is opposite Mercury {communication & logic} leaving you at odds between what you feel and what you think; Logic vs. Emotion.
You have the ability to expand your sense of self in the community and bring focus and vitality to the work you love through self-expression in a fun and creative way. Find the balance between trying to over rationalize and over think things and being overly dramatic and self-centered. If feelings are suppressed or the need to exert your authenticity & life force energy is held back, due to your insecurities-a need for complete and total approval from others, then you could end up acting out erratically and unexpectedly in a rebellious way. Be at home with your weirdness in a way that is so confident there is no need for the approval of others. Balance the two seemingly opposite energies of emotion and logic and you will find that your unique expression comes more easily. Being too aloof and detached distances you from others and giving too much in order to receive the approval of others leaves you being untrue to yourself.
Saturn {planet of constrictions, restraint & lessons} is forming a T-Square with our Sun and Moon. There can be real self-doubt that occurs now and the tendency to put limits and restrictions on yourself due to insecurities in your own abilities. A sense that you are not enough and don’t have the talents or ability to be successful could haunt you at an intense level but this would be occurring only in your mind. Your limited perspective of your self is what will hold you back now. Use the focus that is available to you. Let the moon light up your visions for the future and see the limitless possibilities that are ahead.
With Mars now in Scorpio and hooking up with Saturn you can put your efforts toward achieving your goals with extreme dedication. First, you MUST believe in yourself. Seek not the approval of others, but your OWN approval. Stay clear of allowing self-hatred, jealousy, and feelings of inadequacy to hold you back. Instead, focus on where your unique strengths and abilities lie and dedicate your time and attention to bringing this forth in a structured way. Lay the building blocks. Take the steps.
If there is struggle without, there is struggle within. Much of what is being felt is coming up from the past; what you learned growing up, from your parents, family, past relationships and experiences. If you notice feelings coming up from the past that are keeping you held back, small, in fear or doubt, these feelings are no longer valid or useful.
Your physical energy could be low now. If you find this to be true examine how your own pessimistic and negative attitude is affecting your physical body and health. Use awareness, meditation, affirmations or talking to someone you can trust about these feelings. You can transform and change your perspective once you address your own inner issues that are keeping you restricted and quit buying in to your own negative self-image. What are the beliefs you have bought into about yourself costing you? Cut the chord to any attachments from the past that are diminishing your self-confidence.
Once you make the connection to that part of you who feels like the ‘freak’, and accept what is unique & wonderful about you, your new glowing perspective and self-image will captivate those around you and bring you the success you deserve.

On August 15th Mercury will move out of Leo and into Virgo its home sign. We can think practically and constructively now. Mercury is comfortable here and brings great focus and attention to details. There’s more versatility in our thinking. Don’t give in to worry and stay open to the bigger picture.
Mars moved into Scorpio at the end of July and is staying there until mid-September determination, willpower and sex drive is increased. Power and control is desired and impatience to wait for what we want is high. Releasing frustration through sexuality is likely. There may be excessive in our actions, jumping into things without thinking. Take time to breathe and use caution. Leaping ahead will bring frustration and accidents.
LOVE
Mars has been in an uncomfortable angle to the Sun and we have felt discontent in love, either falling out of love, feeling a lack of love, or desiring someone who is unattainable. This energy will ease up now and leave more room for affection and enjoyment.
Venus moves out of Cancer and into Leo on August 12th. We go from desiring privacy and snuggling up at home to grand gestures and dramatic displays of love. Now, we want to be seen with our partners and be seen by our partners. Socializing, entertainment, fun and romance are on the rise.
If single, we find ourselves attracted and pleased by those who display these same qualities and steal our heart in a big way. Intense emotion and affection are what we want now. Generosity and luxury is what we love.
