FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS & LUNAR ECLIPSE-One of the most potent Full Moons of 2013 (May 24, 2013)

Here are my insights and interpretation on this powerful Full Moon: Sagittarius asks us to broaden our mind and think larger, bigger and broader. See your perspective and how what you percieve could be what’s holding you, and us as a whole, back from our evolving to the highest potential.

We go inside to shine the light on how what we see affects how we feel and how we respond to the world at large.

Our world is a reflection of each one of us. What we feel on the inside is reflected in our environment. If there is something we want to change and improve in this world, where can we change and improve that in ourselves? It starts with us. It starts with YOU.

Can you see how your communication with self has been hindering your own love and passion? Can you open your mind to the possibilities for growth, step into your strength and identity, while still honoring the whole??

You are them and they are you. We are ONE. The illusion of separation is only in the mind.

In the Pacific Time Zone (PST), the Moon will be full at 9:26 p.m. on Friday, May 24. With this Full Moon, the Sun in Gemini will be in opposition (180°) to the Moon in Sagittarius. To further clarify how this Full Moon in Sagittarius will impact you on a personal level, locate 5° of Gemini and 5° of Sagittarius in your birth/natal chart. The issues associated with those two houses are going to be most impacted by this Full Moon’s presence.

For several reasons, this Full Moon is one of the most potent Full Moons of 2013! It offers us opportunities for big breakthroughs and major shifts in consciousness. Why?

· This Full Moon is also a SuperMoon, which is when the Moon is closest to the Earth and in a straight line with the Sun and Earth. This increases the gravitational and electromagnetic pulls on the Earth and on our psyches. During this time, we can see changes in how we perceive reality.

· This Full Moon in Sagittarius marks the third in a series of three eclipses. During each eclipse, we are given the opportunity to “upgrade” our levels of consciousness. Often we will begin to see things in new ways, and this is due to our ability to access information coming from higher dimensions. Important endings and beginnings may occur now, and in many different areas of our life.

· This Full Moon is happening during the time of the third of seven Uranus-Pluto squares (90°), which will continue to influence us into 2015. The square is exact on Monday, May 20, but its influence will be felt for many days before and after this. As discussed in my blog post, this powerful square greatly amplifies our drive for acts of freedom (Uranus in Aries) that lead to reform of structures (Pluto in Capricorn). We are undergoing a significant change that will take time to coalesce. But as we near the midpoint in the sequence of seven squares, we may begin to gain a clearer picture of the next stage in our own and in humanity’s evolution.

This Full Moon in Sagittarius highlights the signs of Gemini and Sagittarius. As is the case with all Full Moons, our challenge is not to focus on one sign at the exclusion of the other but, instead, to find balance between the two. All signs have higher and lower expressions, and it’s up to us to choose the qualities we want to explore now. Gemini is a mutable air sign that is best described as communicative, flexible, optimistic, and loves to learn. At its worst, Gemini can be scattered, impatient, indecisive, and too talkative. Sagittarius, on the other hand, is a mutable fire sign that is best described as straightforward, generous, enthusiastic, ethical, and adventurous. At its worse, Sag can be tactless, pushy, and self-indulgent.

Another reason this Full Moon is so powerful is because the Sun and Moon are in a tight square (90°) to Neptune, forming a configuration called a T-square. Although this alignment can bring a much-needed opportunity for relaxation, the lower expression of this configuration is the risk of becoming so relaxed that you are easily distracted from your goals, expressing words, or taking actions that could undermine your credibility. However, the higher expression of this powerful configuration helps us all awaken to new levels of intuitive ability, which will help us recognize the “truth” in what we are being told or presented. We may have visions that lift us above issues of the moment and broaden our worldview. Yes, the presence of Neptune always indicates a risk of getting lost in the fog of illusion; however, this powerful T-square will more than likely inspire new dreams, ideals, and imagination.

internal order brings external order

Other astrological events make this Full Moon a time when we will very likely see changes occurring in many areas of our lives:

· At the time of the Full Moon (Friday, May 24), Mercury and Venus conjoin (0°) to help us link our head and our logic (Mercury) with our heart and our intuition (Venus). Conversations are filled with sweet, loving energy now. Even difficult conversations will go more smoothly than expected due to the gracious alignment of Venus with Mercury.

· Then, Jupiter conjoins (0°) Mercury and then Venus on Monday, May 27, and Tuesday, May 28, respectively. Once again, conversations (and our relationships in general) should go well and have a bubbly, effervescent, hopeful quality to them. We may see new relationships forming, or we may discover a new source of income. Also, we may see an influx of information coming our way . . . even information that we’ve been seeking for a long time may be drawn to us now.

· On Friday, May 31, Mercury moves out of its comfortable home sign of Gemini and into cautious Cancer. Mercury usually moves into a different sign every 2-3 weeks. However, due to Mercury going retrograde in Cancer on June 26 (through July 19), it will be located in this sign for a little over 2 months (until August 9). During this time, our thoughts will likely become imbued with emotions, and we may find that our nonverbal communication is more important than our verbal communication. Our focus will be on our family (as we define it), and our thoughts will also tend to have an ongoing undercurrent of safety and security needs.

· And on the same day (Friday, May 31), Mars moves out of grounded Taurus and into airy Gemini, where it will remain until mid-July. Our actions may feel scattered now, and we may feel trapped if we are asked to make firm commitments. During the next 6 weeks or so, we need to be flexible. However, we also need to be sure we don’t become so unfocused that we lose sight of our goals.

· Then on Sunday, June 2, Venus follows Mercury into sentimental Cancer for a 3.5 week stay. The lower expression of Venus in Cancer is insecurity in our relationships and overly sensitive feelings. However, the higher expression of this transit is the ability to more easily connect with our inner world of feelings from which we can derive pleasure and a richer sense of self-worth. We also will find that our hearts are drawn to the past, and it’s up to us whether we escape into the past or use this focus for the healing of our wounded hearts.

· Finally, on Monday, June 3, we get a little preview of something wonderful coming our way in mid-July . . . a grand trine configuration in water signs. This water grand trine is fleeting; but the one in mid-July will last longer. This grand trine is formed by Mercury trining (120°) Neptune and then trining (120°) Saturn. This easy flow of energy brings a dose of emotional intelligence to our lives that will aid in any delicate conversations. Even difficult negotiations will include gentle words and sensitivity to others’ feelings. Also, at this time, creative ideas may begin to form that get “fleshed out” during the mid-July water grand trine.

Overall, this Full Moon is presenting all of us with a wonderful opportunity to move to the next level. Where in your life are you ready to leave behind what no longer serves you? Where are you ready to take bold steps? Use this Full Moon in Sagittarius and T-square to Neptune, as well as the SuperMoon, the lunar eclipse, and the third of seven squares (90°) between Uranus and Pluto to make changes in both the internal and external structures of your life so you can move to the next level of consciousness. Cut through the influx of information coming your way by focusing on what feels right.

Remember, “Feeling is the language of the soul. If you want to know what’s true for you about something, look to how you’re feeling about it.” (Neale Donald Walsch)

WHAT’S THAT YOU SAY? LOVE & POSITIVITY ANNOY YOU?!

GrumpyCat

I woke up this morning with a stomach ache, which immediately made me grouchy. And of course I didn’t want to wake up because, well I was tired!

My cat was forcing his face into mine so that I would get out of bed and feed him and as much as I love my cat that is never a way I prefer to start my morning {although, I could think of much worse}. Not to mention right before I woke up I was having an awful dream! All I could think about was the bills I have to pay, the jobs I need to find, the move I’m about to make, the homework I have to finish and the list goes on and on…..WOE IS ME.

IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR? WOULD YOU RATHER HEAR ABOUT EVERYONE’S ANNOYING, GROUCHY AND NEGATIVE MOMENTS???

I’ve heard so many people these past few months complain via Facebook, and other places, about seeing too many positive messages that make them, “want to punch someone”, and how everything can’t possibly always be so great and how sick they are of seeing positive quotes etc, etc. Multiple people have said this, multiple times and in many ways.

Well, I SAY, if you’re sick of seeing positive messages you ARE ‘sick’ of something, that’s true. I’m just not sure that what you’re ‘sick’ with is actually seeing positive messages.

OF COURSE everything isn’t always great. IT IS FACEBOOK, NOT REALITY. It’s the internet! OBVIOUSLY, we only see a fraction of people’s real lives on here. And frankly, that’s how I prefer it.

RAINBOWS

I don’t want to hear about all the negative stuff in everyone’s life. I know it’s there. We all know it’s there. That’s not what I want to fill my brain, thoughts and environment with. If I wanted that, I’d watch the news!

WE ALL HAVE IMPERFECT LIVES.

What is wrong with positive thinking if it helps to uplift your spirit??

LISTEN. IF POSITIVE MESSAGES ARE PISSING YOU OFF, IT’S TIME TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR.

I’ve been at different points in life where other people’s positivity has pissed me off too. I’m also aware that when that happens, it’s not them, it’s ME. It can be a challenge when you’re not happy yourself to actually believe someone else is being real in their happiness.

Guess what, Positivity and Happiness are REAL for some of us!

IF YOU FIND OTHER’S POSITIVE OUTLOOKS UPSETTING, YOU’RE THE ONE THAT IS ANGRY AND UNWILLING TO ALLOW ANYTHING TO UPLIFT YOU.

Why? That’s the question you should be asking yourself. WHY DOES THIS MAKE YOU ANGRY??

There’s no need to judge them or yourself. There IS a need to step back and spend some quiet time understanding what it actually is that keeps you from wanting to be happy or see the positive. You’re pushing it away so defiantly that you’re holding yourself back from it, for what purpose?

I’m speaking from personal experience. I’ve felt the same way and I’m not excluded from feeling this way, on occasion, even now.

HOWEVER, I have enough self awareness to take a closer look at what’s inside of me that is bringing this up. PRACTICE AWARENESS AND ACCEPTANCE.

unconscious

If you’re a Yogi/Yogini this should be easy for you. Go back to the Eight Limbs.

Svadhyaya{Self Awareness} is always the answer.

Don’t point the finger and blame. Look inside.

Don’t be disillusioned by Social Media, the internet or anything in the media for that matter.

OF COURSE it doesn’t replicate everyone’s real life exactly. It’s social media!!! And if you think that it does, that is Maya{Disillusion}.

You can call me a Positive Junkie.

I’d rather be a Positive Junkie, feeling loving and happy… than to be a Negative Nay Sayer or “REAL”, as some like to call it, feeling angry and bitter.

IF YOU LIKE TO POST AND SHARE POSITIVE AND INSPIRING PICTURES AND MESSAGES, MESSAGES OF HOPE AND LOVE AND BEAUTY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, KEEP DOING IT! We need you!

To those who are practicing thinking positive, being positive and sharing positive quotes THANK YOU.

thankful people

I don’t think you’re perfect or your life is perfect because of it, but I thank you for sharing the love.

I thank you for keeping things light and positive.

I thank you for giving me and others hope and perspectives that inspire us to be better and do better.

I thank you for being courageous enough to keep at it and deflect the negative energy you will inevitably receive from those that aren’t feeling it just yet.

YOU are the ones that help keep the vibration of this planet high and uplifting. You are the ones who are here to pave the way of being.

POSITIVE JUNKIES: YOU ARE NEEDED.

NEW MOON IN TAURUS & SOLAR ECLIPSE-Freedom comes to those willing to let go of the past and transform structures (May 9, 2013)

Happy New Moon Solar Eclipse! I’m feelin’ it! Are you feeling it??

The beliefs and patterns that are holding you back, the need to cling to the past, the material and physical??

We have the support of the Universe now to start fresh. Purge and release the negative emotions and thoughts that have been blocking our progress and evolution. It’s a new beginning.

Are you brave enough to have faith and let go?

Wow. I have I felt this urge to hang on tight. I’ve noticed my attachment to money and possessions as well as people this past week. I’ve come to realize my strong desire to hang tight to beliefs and my rigidity in letting those beliefs go. This New Moon is in my 12th house of Pisces. SHowing me how what holds me back has been rooted in my subconscious mind keeping me imprisoned in my own thought patterns.

In the Pacific Time Zone, the New Moon will occur at 5:29 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. This New Moon finds the Moon and Sun in conjunction (0°) at 20° of Taurus. To further clarify how this New Moon will impact you on a personal level, locate 20° of Taurus in your birth/natal chart. The issues associated with that house are going to be most affected by this New Moon’s presence.

Whereas Aries is often associated with initiation, the sign of Taurus is associated with substantiation. Aries may be the pioneer, but Taurus is the settler. Typically the annual New Moon in Taurus is experienced as a peaceful, grounding time. After the often intense energy of Aries the month before, we are given a “breather” in which to find the tools we need (e.g., physical, emotional, mental, spiritual) in order to turn the ideas of Aries into reality. The New Moon in Taurus is a time when we have opportunities for a new emotional start and to set new intentions regarding our relationship to our bodies, the Earth, and each other. We are also being encouraged to discover what is valuable to us and to explore what brings us joy.

Although all of the above may be true, this New Moon in Taurus also coincides with a Solar Eclipse. As discussed in the last blog post eclipses provide us with opportunities to receive upgrades in our level of consciousness due to the energetic gateways that are opened to the cosmos. Using the analogy of a computer, we have a chance to upgrade to a whole new operating system. Solar eclipses mark the end of a 19-year cycle. Can you remember what was going on in your life around May 10, 1994. What was happening then? What are you ready for now?

As with last month’s Lunar Eclipse, this Solar Eclipse involves the lunar nodes, which are points in space where the Moon’s orbit around the Earth intersects with the Earth’s orbit around the Sun. The North Node points to the future. It identifies what will help us to evolve into greater consciousness and connection. The South Node points to the past. It identifies our gifts that we brought into this lifetime, but it also points to the patterns and beliefs that are holding us back. Due to the proximity of the Sun and Moon to the South Node, we may feel a need to cling to the past right now.

For example, we may want to hold onto old values, relationships, property, and ways we have defined ourselves. However, given that the Sun and Moon are in opposition (180°) to the North Node in Scorpio, this means that true healing and progress will occur when we are able to release the accumulation of negative beliefs that are blocking our evolution. We are being given an opportunity to purge long-standing patterns, which will allow us to tap into revitalizing energy.

The Sun and the Moon are also conjunct (0°) Mars at the time of the New Moon. When in this position, the Warrior planet can fall into the trap of being defensive. However, it can also give us the impetus and the energy to let go of those old patterns and create the foundations that will lead to success.

Additionally, on the same day as the New Moon in Taurus, Venus moves into social Gemini. This will help us to recognize that there are many different paths to pleasure, rewards, and relationships. Communication of all kinds will be fun for the next three weeks, and you may find yourself becoming a social butterfly and even a bit flirtatious.

On Saturday, May 11, Mercury conjoins (0°) the Sun. This will give more weight than usual to our words. This can either (a) allow us to think and speak with confidence (higher expression) or (b) prevent us from being objective enough to see ourselves clearly (lower expression). Then on Monday, May 13, Venus will square (90°) Neptune, which may bring a feeling of uncertainty to some of our relationships and even to our self-worth. However, the higher expression of this square is romantic feelings and an increase in inspirational dreams, while awake or asleep. Just be sure to carefully assess any new ideas so you can be sure that you are not wasting your resources or affections.

Two days later, on Wednesday, May 15, Mercury moves into its home sign of Gemini. After the relative peacefulness and slow-plodding nature of Mercury in Taurus, this shift into Gemini may feel like being caught in a wind tunnel of ideas and information. If you are able to remain flexible during this time, you may reap great benefits from the mental freedom that is indicative of Mercury in Gemini. However, being realistic about all these new ideas will be particularly important when Mercury squares (90°) Neptune on Saturday, May 18. Unless we ground ourselves, we may suddenly find ourselves heading off into unrealistic directions.

On Monday, May 20, the Sun moves into “easy breezy” Gemini. Having the Sun in this socially adaptable and light-hearted sign is to our benefit because that same day is the next in a series of seven Uranus-Pluto squares (90°), which will continue to influence us into 2015.

We are, once again, being given an opportunity to “change or be changed.” For example, in order to have the freedom we crave to do what we want to do (Uranus in Aries), we will need to transform the structures in our lives and in our societies (Pluto in Capricorn).

Overall, this New Moon in Taurus and Solar Eclipse are providing us with the support that we need in order to recreate ourselves, our environment, and our world. However, the involvement of the South Node in Taurus and the North Node in Scorpio reminds us that making fresh starts are possible only if we are willing to let go of what no longer serves us. And this is further reinforced by the next Uranus-Pluto square, which is exact on May 20. As was so wisely stated by the late David R. Hawkins, “To let go of the known for the unknown requires great commitment, willingness, and devotion to surrendering one’s faith to God.”
