Moon Reports

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO & LUNAR ECLIPSE-Are you ready for some windows? (April 25, 2013)

My thoughts: It’s always amazing to me when I experience exactly what the full moon reports are saying will be experienced. I don’t know why after all this time studying astrology, researching, sharing and experiencing it still comes as a surprise! I think sometimes we all just get a bit caught up in daily life. I share and then I often forget. There are so many changes happening right now and it’s as if it hit me TODAY. I saw the things that are changing in my life and the fear started to set in. I immediately wanted to go back to the way I am used to living my life. Then I realized, Practice what you preach! I remembered what this Full Moon was about and I realized again I need to flow with these changes. Have FAITH.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT WHAT ALREADY IS, IS BETTER THAN WHAT’S TO COME?!?

I don’t know that. I just have to allow it to be the way it is and act from a place of faith and love.

I wish you strength and confidence through all of your growing pains.

In the Pacific Time Zone, the Moon will be full at 12:58 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. With this Full Moon, the Sun in Taurus will be in opposition (180°) to the Moon in Scorpio. To further clarify how this Full Moon in Scorpio will impact you on a personal level, locate 6° of Taurus and 6° of Scorpio in your birth/natal chart. The issues associated with those two houses are going to be most impacted by this Full Moon’s presence.

Every six months, the orbits of the Sun, Moon, and Earth align and form an eclipse. The eclipse interrupts the flow of electromagnetic energy that is flowing toward Earth. During these times, it is believed that Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants have an opportunity to “reboot” and “upgrade” our levels of consciousness. Old programs can be more easily erased. New pathways become available. We can suddenly see things in a different light. Higher dimensions become more accessible. Eclipses mark important turning points and opportunities to advance our evolutionary journey.

Therefore, eclipses always result in extra-potent New and Full Moons, signaling major endings and beginnings. This spring, we have three eclipses in a row (watch for the next two Moon Updates for more information!). This, along with the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square (90°), provides extraordinary impetus for change and transformation.

This Full Moon highlights the signs of Taurus and Scorpio. As is the case with all Full Moons, our challenge is not to focus on one sign at the exclusion of the other, but, instead, to find balance between the two. Taurus is a fixed earth sign that seeks to develop a healthy relationship with ourselves and with the physical world – our body, senses, and resources. We are being asked to live in alignment with our true values. Scorpio, on the other hand, is a fixed water sign that seeks to develop healthy partnerships of all kinds (e.g., marriage/committed relationships, business) and to learn how to share our resources. We are being asked to explore how we can align with others in ways that make the whole greater than the sum of the parts.

Not only is the Sun in Taurus right now, but so too are Mars, Venus, and the South Node. This focus on Taurean energy is a call to come back to our senses – to what feeds our hearts and our souls. We are being asked to discover what we must have in order to be happy. The Moon is joined in Scorpio by Saturn and the North Node. This focus on Scorpio is asking us to confront what we must leave behind in order to change and transform in essential ways.

Scorpions live below ground, and they are most comfortable in the darkness. This month’s Full Moon in Scorpio is helping us go down into the darkness of our psyches. If we hide out in the darkness in order to avoid discomfort and/or to preserve the status quo, then we will miss a major opportunity to grow, both personally and in our relationships with others. Any tension we might feel is meant to help us clarify what must be done to meet life’s challenges more effectively. Change can be both exciting and scary. It is important now to remember that whenever we let go of something that is important to us, it is eventually replaced with something that is more aligned with who we are becoming.

And the Universe has “set us up” for change. The day before the Full Moon (Wednesday, April 24), a free-flowing trine (120°) between Venus and Pluto will provide support for deep healing. This creative alignment between the planets of love and transformation/healing will make it possible for us to descend into the darkness of our wounds (Pluto) to recover meaning and regenerate relationships (Venus). Underused gifts and talents may also surface during this deep psychological dig. But this journey will likely be a gentle one due to a sweet sextile (60°) between the Sun and Neptune just hours later. This will allow all of us to address ego issues with tenderness. Imagination and forgiveness are also assets of this soulful alignment.

Luckily, at the time of the Full Moon, Mars is conjunct (0°) the Sun in Taurus. And both Mars and the Sun are in opposition (180°) to the Moon, which is conjoining (0°) Saturn in Scorpio. Consequently, at the time of this Full Moon, we are being given the courage (Mars) required to move forward and view our lives realistically (Saturn). We are being asked to take an honest look at our lives and release what we have outgrown (e.g., a job, a relationship, a place, a way of life, a belief system). It is important that we have the courage now to let go of anything that is out of balance and out of integrity.

On Sunday, April 28, the Sun will exactly oppose (180°) Saturn, and then on Tuesday, April 30, Mars will exactly oppose (180°) Saturn. At this time, many of us will feel like we have reached a stop sign or even a dead end. We could feel resistant to any differing viewpoints or even the slightest hint of criticism. But any oppositions and challenges we encounter are meant to slow us down so we can re-evaluate our plans. We should ask ourselves, “What do I need in order to accomplish this goal?”, “Do I need more training in a specific skill in order to be successful?”, “Are there resources I’m not tapping into?” (e.g., money, assistance), and/or “Do I need to make adjustments to my plans or even abandon them so I can focus on what truly matters to me?” We are being asked to slow down and make sure we have a clear and responsible plan so we can be successful. Additionally, if you find yourself “reacting” during this period of time rather than “taking action,” remember that you don’t have to respond right away. Use the motto: “Introspection first, then action.” Overall, boundaries, commitments, and goals will be clarified during this time. Although this may be a stressful time, this can also be a very productive time. And if you are ready and have a solid plan, then this could be a time when strong alliances are formed or you could launch a significant project.

On Wednesday, May 1, Mercury moves into the sign of Taurus. This is a wonderful placement given what is going on right now. For the next 14 days, our thinking will likely be more down-to-earth, solid, and grounded in “reality.” Our communication with others will be more deliberate and serious. Our minds will slow down and be capable of focusing on one thing at a time, which will help simplify our lives. The only challenge will be that our thinking can become too rigid or conservative, causing us to overlook creative solutions to old problems. So do your best to keep an open mind!

The next day (Thursday, May 2), the Last Quarter Moon occurs (Moon squares (90°) the Sun). Given the involvement of both Mars and Saturn, it is likely that this will mark a critical turning point. Professional matters could come to a head. If significant decisions are required, then make them. But first, make sure you have what you need to achieve your goals even if the details may have to be worked out later. And remember that making a decision to not act is still making a decision.

On Sunday, May 5, Mercury opposes (180°) Saturn. We will not be able to escape the consequences of our words and the weight of “reality.” Yes, if you are willing to address what truly is rather than how you’d like things to be, you will be standing on solid ground. Thankfully, a wonderful trine (120°) between Mars and Pluto occurs later that day. This is an ideal alignment for eliminating distractions, getting to the core of the matter, and empowering us to act with resolve, purpose, and concentration.

Overall, this Full Moon in Scorpio signals that we are ready to explore alternatives and new levels of consciousness that were not accessible to us before. The Lunar Eclipse is providing us with a window into this new level of consciousness. Our free will choices will determine if we squander this opportunity by hiding out in the darkness or whether we are courageous enough to look out a different window . . . and perhaps even climb through that window! The involvement of Mars and Saturn during and immediately following this Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse means that we are being asked to be brave and to make sure that our feet are firmly planted on the ground when it comes to our plans and dreams. At this time, do your best to remember what was said by Rumi: “Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry if your life is turned upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?”

Do you have the courage to speak your truth?

After I wrote this I came accross a quote that really touched my heart. I felt it important to share:

“This is the other secret that real artists know and wannabe writers don’t. When we sit down each day and do our work, power concentrates around us. The Muse takes note of our dedication. She approves. We have earned favor in her sight. When we sit down and work, we become like a magnetized rod that attracts iron filings. Ideas come. Insights accrete.”

Resistance is experienced as fear; the degree of fear equates to the strength of Resistance. Therefore the more fear we feel about a specific enterprise, the more certain we can be that that enterprise is important to us and to the growth of our soul. That’s why we feel so much Resistance. If it meant nothing to us, there’d be no Resistance.”

“Are you paralyzed with fear? That’s a good sign. Fear is good. Like self-doubt, fear is an indicator. Fear tells us what we have to do. Remember one rule of thumb: the more scared we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it.”

JUST BE HONEST!

BE-you-can-be-everything.JPGHONEST

I’ve never been the kind of person who could fake being happy. I’ve never been the kind of person who could go along with something I didn’t believe in. I’ve tried to do it in my life for the sake of getting along or to please another and it doesn’t work. When something doesn’t feel right to my soul, my spirit screams. I ache inside. It is a real, honest aching in the pit of my stomach. Before I know it, my whole body and being is rejecting the situation, circumstance or person.

Some people can go through life working in a job they don’t feel good about and just move through the motions. Some people can stay in an unhappy relationship and pretend everything is ok. Some people can do what others want or expect of them before they ever do what they want or expect of themselves. NOT ME.
Lately, I’ve had people tell me how courageous I am for speaking what I feel. But, I feel I speak the truth less because I’m courageous and more because of how it eats away at me if I don’t speak it! I’ve always had a strong desire to write and speak.

I’m not always right, by any means. I’ve been wrong many times. But, I know what’s right FOR ME.

This, I’ve come to know. I’ve learned this and it hasn’t always been easy.

Often when you shine your light, when you have the “courage” to be you to your fullest, others who aren’t in the same place and don’t know how to do this for themselves do not like it. Don’t let other’s fears and blocks dim your light.

I’ve been there. I’ve been on both sides.
I’ve been in a place where I wasn’t as confident in speaking my truth. Every single time I take a step forward in a new way terror washes over me. What will they think?! What will they say?!
That’s my cue. That’s my reminder from life that I am doing the right thing. In fact, it happened to me again recently. I decided to post a photo on Facebook that listed services I offer, one of which, is “Intuitive Readings”.
I’ve been doing readings for myself, friends and family for years. More recently, I’ve decided to offer them as a service.

When I saw what I had written and what I was about to show the world I felt sick to my stomach. I asked my self, why? Why do I feel this way?! It clicked.

WHEN YOU STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE, SPEAK YOUR TRUTH AND SHINE YOUR LIGHT ON WHO YOU TRULY ARE, IT IS SCARY!!

I was being me to my fullest without hiding anything.
I decided to reveal something I had been hiding from a large part of the world for awhile and it was downright terrifying to reveal my truth!

I realized, I also feel this way because of judgment I’ve seen regarding this topic. I’ve seen and experienced a lot of people, especially those who don’t believe you can connect to spirit or a higher power, attack and condemn people (including me) for acting as if they could EVER connect to more than what can physically be seen or touched.
Believing beyond what is physical is just too much for some people to handle.
Those who think that the Powers that be, God or some Divine Being lives outside of them, outside of us and we are to bow to this power as though we are not connected, not in control of our own lives, not ONE with the other. These are people that live in fear. Fear of taking ownership of their lives.

I believe The Light, God, The Universe, Spirit, A Higher Power(you can use whatever name you like) lives within us. It moves through us, IF we allow it too.
I don’t want to get too much into that topic or off topic. What I’m talking about is the need to speak your truth and the ability and courage to do so.

WHEN YOU SPEAK YOUR TRUTH FROM YOUR HEART, IT FREES YOUR SOUL.

The act alone frees you to be yourself completely. Every little bit helps and every time you take even 1 step forward, your light shines even brighter!

THE TRUTH CAN HURT BUT IT CAN ALSO HEAL.

heal-your-life-heart-image11

When I say that, I don’t mean to speak in a mean or negative way. I DO mean in a completely honest kind of way.

Many people don’t like to be told the truth. They reject it at all costs.
Usually, when you reject speaking your truth, you are also rejecting accepting truth.

~Take time to be non-reactive every opportunity you get. When you take time you are able to respond instead of react.

~Sit with yourself, meditate and listen to your heart. The more you do this, the clearer your truth becomes.

~Come from a place of caring and kindness when speaking with honesty. You don’t have to be hurtful just SPEAK WITH HONESTY.

I do have love for everybody. Some people say that’s not possible. I say it is.
However, I have gotten to the point in my life where there is less and less room for those who are more willing to point the finger and less willing to look in the mirror.

Over the years I’ve realized that time is extremely precious. Every day I honor my time more and more. In my eyes, if you are unwilling to see or accept certain truths on where you have the opportunity for improvement then you are unwilling to see and accept growth. And life is all about evolving.

Good questions to ask…. When I’m faced with a challenge I ask my self:

~Am I willing to see the situation with honesty?

~Am I willing to accept certain truths about myself?

~Am I being honest with myself or am I placing blame on something or someone else?

Tip: Surround your self with 1 or 2 good friends that you know are rational, have your best interests at heart and are willing to tell you when you are being irrational or unauthentic. And when they are honest with you, LISTEN, even if you don’t like what you hear.

YOU CAN NOT GROW IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO BE IN THE KNOW.

GROW IN THE KNOW

If you are unwilling to change or compromise and you just don’t care, be honest about that. You have the power to choose. Which means, you don’t have to change your mind, you don’t have to do things a certain way and you don’t have to compromise. But, you do owe it to yourself to realize that is your choice and, although you see the truth, you aren’t willing to do anything about it. Then, when karma comes back around you are aware of your choice and your part in creating it.

HOW HONEST ARE YOU WITH YOURSELF? DO YOU AVOID THE TRUTH AT ALL COSTS? DO YOU SPEAK YOUR TRUTH AND LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE??

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE. BE YOURSELF. SPEAK THE TRUTH, KINDLY. YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF.

THIS IS YOUR LIFE!

let your light shine
