SUPER MOON
This full moon happens to be a SUPER MOON which means that the intensity level is heightened. It’s a time when the moon is brighter and closer to the Earth than usual and we are said to be able to feel its magical magnetic pull even stronger.
The moon is in Capricorn which brings our focus to control, commitment, and achievement on our choice of path. We need to let go of trying to control the circumstances of our lives, career, relationships {business & personal} and commit to following our inner most needs and desires in order to achieve the success we hope for.
The moon being opposite the sun in Cancer, is concerned with finding a balance between detachment and attachment, our inner needs and our outer needs and what we choose to commit to in order to find happiness.
Old Habits and Outdated Beliefs around what fulfills us at the deepest levels, materially and emotionally, are up for release. Capricorn has to do with the material world, our achievements, responsibilities, authority, career and public reputation. The influence of this sign means business and they are dedicated and committed to achieving their aims. Often this happens at the expense of their personal needs, their family’s needs and the needs of those they love. We need to see where in our life we are overexerting our authority, where can we release some control in regards to our careers and goals and tend to our needs and the needs of others.
Release control over what it is that you want to ‘achieve’ and commit to doing what feels right at the deepest level instead of letting material gain be your focus.
The moon in Capricorn takes responsibility seriously. Being in touch with the emotions is not always the easiest thing with this influence since Capricorn energy prefers to stay logical, cool, cautious and detached. There is a need to control others and especially with the moon conjunct Pluto {planet of intensity & power}. This brings more intensity to the emotions and we can feel more deeply our need to let the past die. The need to let go of what was and has been is strong now. Plutos influence can be intense and release won’t come without some deep inner work. Don’t allow yourself to succumb to the feelings of loneliness, self doubt and depression that this moon in Capricorn can bring. Emotional outbursts are highly likely and wanting to exert our will & power over others is something that may be hard to resist. We want to control what others feel and how they act. Stay strong enough to control your own attitudes, feelings and perspectives and be LESS controlling of those around you.
We would be wise not to exert our will or push our personal agenda and selfish wants on others right now. The moon is squaring Uranus {Planet of community & rash action} and our impulsive actions could lead to abrupt backlash that threatens our reputation and social standing within your community.
Thankfully, the sweet influence of Saturn {planet of responsibility and karmic lessons}, Capricorns ruling planet, gives us the ability to be able to look beyond outward appearances and see the depths of the emotions that have been keeping us in the dark. We can see these feelings honestly now and begin to transform them using our power to heal and dedicate our passions to something that is worthwhile to us, fulfilling our deepest desires.
If you use your charm and powers of persuasion right and for the highest good, you can manifest exactly what you have been working so hard for.
We may doubt ourselves, feeling vulnerable, exposed and protective over expressing exactly how you feel. Uranus goes retrograde this month and this will stimulate more psychological investigation within ourselves. A desire to understand WHY is more prominent and a rebellious nature could turn more inward and become suppressed only to burst out at a moment’s notice.
