The Moon is New in Cancer, the Crab, on Friday, June 27th, at 1:08am {pacific time}.

New Moons are a time of starting over, new beginnings, taking action steps towards your dreams and goals, creating and renewal.

The moon is hooked up with our sun in the sensitive, moody, family oriented and intuitive sign of Cancer. Cancer is a cautious sign that enjoys a sense of security, being at home with family, and nurturing those and that which they love and hold dear. The upside is that we are very tuned in and able to listen to our gut instinct on where we need to move forward and make changes in our lives. The downside is getting too caught up in others to the point of neediness and hanging on the every word and emotion of those closest to us to the point where our moods are adversely affected and we become clingy. Allow others space to breathe lest you become annoying in your desire for closeness.

There are steps that need to be taken towards change regarding your family life, and your ideas around how you want that to look and be.

What new perspectives need to be created regarding how you nurture yourself and others and how you receive this nurturing from others?

The ability to transform your emotional nature is high however there may be power struggles, possessiveness and emotional secretiveness if we are not careful. The moon relates to our past and is in a tense tug of war with Pluto {planet of transformation, power, and secrecy}. There are feelings from the past, connected to our home life and roots, which have been buried deeply & hidden beneath the surface. There is the likelihood that they could come up now to reveal unexpected emotions and fears regarding our relationships, home life and security. You may be feeling quite extreme in your emotions and a need to dominate or be right is prominent. If you can recognize the depth of your emotions you can benefit from the healing that is available to you right now.

With the moon now in a beautiful aspect to Neptune {planet of imagination, dreams, & wishes} you can use your emotional and creative imagination for the better. Instead of falling into the trap of negative emotions, expecting worst case scenario and giving into fears or trauma from the past regarding loss or abandonment, use your strong intuition to visualize the New Beginnings, Behaviors & Feelings you want to wish into your life. You have tenacity and instinct on your side now to help make your dreams come true! Express through art: dance, painting/drawing, poetry, acting, or any way that expresses what you are feeling now and the sensitivity you are picking up on in your environment.

Creativity is high and your ability to see past delusion is too. The question is: Will you choose to use this creativity with clear vision? Drop the illusions and fantasy’s you are hanging on to and be clear about what really feeds your soul. Even though you may be feeling emotional your feelings can guide you toward what needs to change in your life. Honor these profound lessons you find within.

We have one last sweep of this Cardinal Grand Cross which is giving us another opportunity to decide on our own, to see for ourselves and to move forward by choice. If we choose otherwise, we will be swept up in the changes that surround against our will. It’s much easier to go with the flow.

We are feeling resistant to authority or anything that constricts, or appears to constrict, our freedom. Power struggles, angry outbursts, relationship shockers and surprises are highly likely. We have some serious inner conflict that can come up and we may feel like shaking up any established roots. An earthquake moves things around but remember that once the foundation has been shaken the damage cannot be undone.

If you are feeling stuck in an emotion, perspective, lifestyle or habit…..Consider what it is that is keeping you there. Let whatever comes up, come up for healing. Love it. Nurture it. Care for it. Only then can you begin to heal it.

LOVE

Venus {planet of Love} has been in Taurus where we have felt a stronger need for a sense of security and stability in our relationships. Venus just moved into Gemini and now our perspective regarding relationships lightens a little. We have a stronger need for an aloof or detached approach, variety, fun and flirtations! Commitment now is not as strong with this placement but more of a curiosity for the unknown. Getting to know someone in a new love relationship or learning new things about our loved one is interesting to us now.

Love isn’t all fun and games right now though. In fact, there could be quite a bit of delusion and we are more inclined to be deceived or to deceive ourselves. Being misguided in love & relationships is more likely now as we have ideals that are out of proportion.

Try to relax and have more fun. Keeping a light hearted approach towards love and making sure to examine your perceptions around certain people and your own expectations is helpful.
