New Moons are a time of starting over, new beginnings, taking action steps towards your dreams and goals, creating and renewal!
Solar Eclipse is a time where the moon blocks the light of the sun for a period of time. During this time our solar energy is blocked. Habits and personality traits have the opportunity to be wiped clean. A fresh start is possible in a bigger way as the Solar Eclipse adds extra power to the New Moon’s energy.
Taurus rules the body, our sensual nature, creature comforts, security, finances, things we value, our valuables, material possessions and earned income. The New moon is about taking steps forward but Taurus only wants to do this slowly, if at all. Your inner world, foundation and home life is under review. What you value is coming up for question. What do you put the most value on in your life and is it deserving of the importance you put on it? Do you attach our worth to your material possessions, physical body, or how much so called ‘security’ you have? Are you truly valuing yourself and seeing how much you have to offer on a deeper level? This New Moon is asking us to make a commitment to our physical health and our bodies. Eat healing foods that ground and nurture you, spend time in nature, restructure and organize your finances, spend time on activities and with people you value and give appreciation to the things you value in yourself and those you love. Take a practical approach towards goals, moving in a sure and steady way. Be cautious but don’t stay stuck in a rut or your old outdated fixed attitudes and habits. Staying stuck in the mud will get you nowhere.
Pluto {depth & transformation} is now trine our Moon {emotion & insight} which helps us to feel stronger in dealing with challenges as well as allowing us to see more easily below the surface into our deeply rooted habits created in the past and transform them into something more beneficial for ourselves and our lives. You have the ability now to focus more intensely on your creative will and truly direct and apply this energy towards manifesting your thoughts into reality.

Venus {planet of Love} is still in dreamy Pisces and has been putting a spin of romance and sweetness on our relationships. In a couple days, May 2nd, the planet of love will move into Aries. This brings more awareness of your own personal needs to the surface. You will be feeling more direct and in touch with what you want and less interested in serving the needs of others. This will have you feeling more affectionate and aggressive in your relationships and possibly a little more selfish. You could become combative in love/relationships when you don’t get your way. Before we may have been feeling more cooperative and compassionate.
