New Moons are a time of starting over, new beginnings, taking action steps towards your dreams and goals, creating and renewal!
The moon is hooked up with our sun in the dramatic, heart centered, creative and passionate sign of Leo. Leo is a fun loving sign that enjoys socializing, children, attention and affection. The energy is generous, giving, prideful and playful. This New Moon wants us to see where we can expand our ideas and beliefs about our self and the way we show up in the world.

Do you seek attention for the sake of attention or are you leading from a place of pure creativity and love?
With Jupiter {planet of opportunity & expansion} also connecting with our Sun and Moon, we are feeling upbeat and optimistic about the future now and can see all the possibilities before us. The future is beaming with opportunity to spread our wings and share what we are passionate about with the world. This influence brings confidence and a desire for adventure. Moving courageously towards your dreams is favored now. Be sure you are not so overly confident in your ability now that you are being prideful and arrogant. Jupiter blesses you with the vision to see the bigger picture for what you want to create and the life you want to live just don’t act like a know it all in the process. If we are not given the opportunity we believe we deserve we can become frustrated and angry. If it is meant to be, it will be. Let things happen, as they flow from your heart, without force or an egotistical need for acknowledgment. Instead, express and create for the pure satisfaction of creation and serving those around you who are willing to receive it. Lead the way by being the Light.
We want to stand up for what we believe in and we have the strength to do it. Helping pave the way for those we see in need of support and getting 100% behind what we believe in comes easy to us. It’s good to be passionate and stand for a cause. It’s also good to make sure we are not being so stubborn that it turns into argumentativeness and does not serve the purpose. Mars {planet of aggression & action} is in an uncomfortable position to the Moon now so it is easy to fly off the handle with our emotions. We are feeling more independent and want to stand on our own. This independence coupled with excessive energy, pride and strength could make you far too aggressive if you are not aware. Don’t suppress any anger that comes up as suppressed anger will come out at the sacrifice of your good health.
Be aware of making everything about you to the point you damage your reputation and diminish your opportunities. Domestic disputes are possible now as well as struggles with women in your life or possibly your parents.
We want to do things so BIG and on such a large scale now that we run the risk of over dramatizing everything and impulsive overreaction. Stay in your heart. When you know who you are and what is truly important to you there will be no need for outside applaud.
It’s hard to relax now because we desire so much social activity, adventure and stimulation. Use your energy to get your projects and ideas off the ground and flying! If you can stay focused and maintain control over your impulses you can really make a difference now. Too much risk taking and not enough thinking things through can lead to accidents and regrets.
LOVE
Venus {planet of Love} is in the sign of Cancer making us feel like we need our family and loved one even more than usual. This influence brings a sense of attachment and a need for comfort and quiet nights in. It’s important that we connect with the one we love emotionally and feel safe and secure enough to do this. However, Venus is opposing Pluto {planet of intense interaction} and this magnifies the intensity in our love relationships. To love or control? To connect and meet our needs emotionally or logically in a more financially practical kind of way? These are the questions. There are manipulative behaviors at play, a need for dominance. Issues that bubble up from the subconscious could lead to conflict and emotional distancing. A need for excitement and autonomy can bring fresh experiences to your love life if you stay flexible and see that you can be part of something while still keeping your own perspective and independence. Stability can be found when we express tenderness and compassion towards the one we love.
If single, You are attracted to a more quiet type that is nurturing and sensitive. You may be feeling cautious but crave more excitement and connection. Make sure that if entering into a relationship now you stay realistic in your approach. Don’t get caught in the web of illusion. If you stay grounded you can make your dream of a secure and stable relationship a reality.
