New Moons are a time of starting over, new beginnings, taking action steps towards your dreams and goals, creating and renewal!
The Moon is hooked up with the Sun in the practical, reserved, and service oriented sign of Virgo. Virgo is a meticulous sign that pays attention to detail, values planning and organizing and can be a little nit-picky in it’s approach. The energy is grounded, communicative, courteous and at times a little cranky about things being done a specific way. Virgo values health, healing and what your daily habits are that establish a healthy lifestyle and self-care.
This New Moon wants you to see where in your life you can begin to draw up a detail oriented plan of action that lists facts and uses logic towards what it is you want to create in this area of your life. Virgo prefers to do the right thing, choose logic and stay level headed.

During this New Moon Neptune {planet of deception, illusion & imagination} is opposing both the Moon and Sun. This brings confusion and inability to see things as clearly and realistically as the Virgo New Moon would like us to. You can however make significant improvements when you balance your active imagination with grounded application towards your dreams. Pay close attention to details of all kinds instead of allowing yourself to get swept up in dreamland/fantasy. Avoid vague and unclear communications as it is easy to be deceived and confused now. Be precise with how you talk, what you write and how you think. If you are unclear on something that has been communicated to you, CLARIFY. With Mercury{mind} combining creative energies with Mars{action} & Saturn{discipline}, the mind is curious now and you can come up with solutions to any health or work challenges if you take your time to understand. Concentration is on your side and if you put your thoughts in order you will have much energy & discipline to achieve your ambitions and goals. Use your drive and any frustration that comes up productively. KNOW YOUR LIMITS and stay within them.
Plus, with Jupiter{expansion} and Uranus{sudden change} there is an excitement in that comes with expanding your mind and beliefs. Finding other ways to further educate yourself through travel, meeting new people of different backgrounds, learning new techniques and tools that increase your awareness {technical studies, humanitarianism, astrology, oracle, tarot, metaphysical studies etc} will make you feel uplifted and excited about life and the opportunities for the future. Visions can come to you easily now and you may embark on some new, original and eccentric paths now. Jupiter is also hooked up with Venus {love & kindness} which means compassion, generosity and a sympathetic nature are predominant and you can make a difference in you social circle by expressing all of the love you have to give and sharing your love & gifts generously.
Mercury is also in a nice angle to Pluto {insight & transformation} making the study of anything mystical, spiritual/occult significant. You have great insight and intuition available to you regarding your health and habits and what you can do to improve upon them seeing beneath the surface now and into the deeper aspects what is driving you to rise above or stay stuck.
Overall, this New Moon in Virgo is asking us to explore the interplay between matter and spirit, between our head and our heart. Our focus should be on a holistic approach to healing. This New Moon is also asking us to explore how we can best use our time, energy, and talent to heal our bodies and serve humanity. But as they tell us when we fly, we need to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first and then help those around us. We all should use this time to find new ways to fill our own inner “well.” Only when we do this will we be in a position to give to others from a place of wholeness, health, and clarity of purpose. Venus {planet of Love} is in the sign of Leo and you are probably feeling very generous with your love and affection. In addition, Venus is sending good vibes to Uranus{originality & insight} and gives you an intuitive edge into all of your relationships, lending you extra sparkle and shine. However, Venus is in a difficult relationship with Saturn & Mars so if we’re not careful we can act too impulsively in ways that we may later regret. Blurting things out that we don’t think twice before saying can cut deep. Think before you speak without trying to turn up the charm so much. This aspect can make romantic affairs difficult if hurtful words are said or high expectations are imposed upon others. Fear of being rejected, not seen or acknowledged can leave you feeling unloved.
